It’s probably because I have been in a wonderful daydreaming bubble filled with pretty decorating photos, vacation wishes, baking desires and shoe lusting for the past couple of days coming down from my Halloween high. As a true procrastinator, I spent almost my entire Saturday DIY-ing my Halloween costume for later that night! By 3 p.m. our living room was starting to resemble a sweatshop with thread everywhere and fabric scrapes scattered in a 10 foot radius from my DIY headquarters on the floor. All worth it, because I loved my owl Halloween costume! In true Halloween fashion, I had to stay in character all night, which translated to logging into The Book, very hungover, the next morning and finding a dozen dorky photos of myself hooting. Once Joel and I were at about 80 percent functioning speed and too lazy to make ourselves breakfast — about two in the afternoon — I strapped on my new boots and we went on a hunt for something that sounded appetizing.
