I feel like I probably care around more stuff then I need in my diaper bag, but it’s better to be safe then sorry, right?! We also use cloth diapers so those add a lot of bulk compared to disposable diapers. My diaper bag is the Fawn Design bag, which is really nice and I’d recommend it if you’re into it’s look, but it’s not my perfect diaper bag. It’s a big on the heavy side (without anything inside), the straps aren’t super comfortable when your wearing a sleeveless top.
On to the essentials…I always carry around a water bottle, changing mat, wipe container, and I can’t forget a wet bag. I also like to carry around a diaper rash cream for her bum (I usually make my own, but this one is good for cloth diapers). A pacifier and a pacifier clip is a must! Another huge must have for me is a quick, easy and very packable baby carrier like this ring sling. It’s always nice to also have a simple light muslin blanket.
